Pain stiffness and pain in upper arms could be a sign of

fibromyalgia. A remedy is a simple sugar called D-Ribose.

I recommend that you read the excellent book " From Fatigued to

Fantastic, " 3rd edition, by Teitelbaum M.D. Available for only

$10.85 at www.amazon.com. This is the best book I have ever found on

the closely related topics of fibromyalgia syndrome (FS) and chronic

fatigue syndrome (CFS). This book includes extensive information on

natural remedies, the use of antibiotics, and D-Ribose.

I have had four diagnoses each by a different rheumatologists since

coming down with arthritis ten years ago: rheumatoid arthritis,

pseudo-gout, polymyalgia rheumatica, and most recently, reactive

arthritis. Muscle pain and tendonitis have always been part of my

symptoms. I am now convinced that what I really have is fibromyalgia.

I will discuss this with my current rheumatologist in one hour. He is

competent but strictly old school. Wish me luck., since my diagnosis

is different than his.

Sincerely, Harald

Hi ,

I've been on minocycline for 2 1/2 years, and mornings are still the worst

for me. The longer I'm awake the better I feel. Late nights are my best

time! Too bad the world doesn't run on my schedule...

Hi,

I know what you say about the mornings, been on Minocin for almost two years,

recently I added LDN and it seems the pain is not as long lasting as before. I

want to see how it works in three months or so.

I tried L-lysine (8 g a day) for pain and stiffness. It worked for me.

Unfortunately I had to stopp taking it because of constipation. My sister took

L-lysine for her recurrent mouth herpis ,she didn't have constipation. You can

try L-lysine, gardually increasing the dose to 10 g a day.

I am on LDN too. It helps. I don't take painkiller anymore.

Harald-is it possible to have both reactive arthritis and fibromyalgia?

I have been diagnosed with reactive arthritis, and had a few of the classic

symptoms, like the gloppy eyes(conjunctivitis), getting the illness in one joint

first, before it spread to other joints. But I also suffer from butt pain and

muscle pains, in addition to the joint pain. I'm also always freezing cold, and

winters are intolerable for me. The coldness isn't a symptom of reactive

arthritis.

Thanks.
