Guest guest
Hello, Group. I'm really struggling here with AP. I have done nothing but get worse for 4 months now. The only thing that's getting me through is 800 mg of ibuprofen and I know that's not good for my stomach. I can barely walk everyday until it kicks in. So, I'm beginning to wonder...just how bad is methotrexate? Do I need to wait it out longer on AP? What do I do? Dr. Sentef seems to think I just need to suffer through it, but I've got two small kids to take care of and it's not easy when you can walk or lift the baby until noon every day. Guest guest
They put me on MTX first (along with narcotic pain relievers) very shortly, my pain got worse, instead of better. I took the pill on weds and by saturday I was nauseous and sick.. I did 12 weeks of it and got worse and worse.. then Drs says " well thats not working " .. to me the increase of the RA when on an immune suppressant told me DONT SUPRESS your immune system! (for me anyway) I also did HUMIRA which DID seem to help but I was not on it long enough to be a real judge as I started the Minocylcine and stopped the humira. Ive been on Mino 100mg EVERY DAY for 18 months now and am doing good. I am also having trouble balancing my hormones include my thyroid and i really think that I will do much better once I see a new DR who will work on the thyroid and homones with me. I also added vit D and iodoral and a few other supplements. I will probly be tested for the food sensitivity when i see the new DR in june.
