( asked what we have done already... in hopes to give us help in the

direction we need to go....)

Hi Kelli, we are drawing blood for the IGg tests as soon as I get the kit from

Great Plains. We had this done when Zach was 3 and all foods were 0 or 1 except

asparagus (and he has never had that!). We chose not to do the diet at that

time because I was unaware it was an intolerance and not an allergy issue

regarding the g/c. Zach will be 7 in March. We have been gf/cf for 4-5 months

now. (with an occasional slip up because of hidden glutens) The hardest part of

this diet is MY not knowing (as I am trying to learn it all.)

We have eliminated gluten, casein and started on corn. (which is very hard

because seems corn is what replaced gluten!!)

I am going to start with only foods that are not processed this week. (Zach is

a very poor eater and I tend to always offer something else when he refuses what

is served for dinner. I will definitely stop doing this.) There is definitely

something that he is reacting to and we just do not know what it is.

We will be boxing up everything in the house that is processed over the

Thanksgiving holiday. (Dad is taking sister to relatives.) Zach and I are

staying home to try and improve our eating habits. I am researching which foods

to avoid (like apples, bananas, etc.--outside the g/c families) and which ones

we definitely need to work on adding into our diet, etc. Suggestions would be

greatly appreciated.

(and a special thank you to those of you who have replied privately.)

Rhonda
