Guest guest
Hi lynne As you know my Dr. prscribed Medrol 2 mg 4 days a week to lower my inflammation. my ESR is high 120. I thought it is not a bad idea because i read high inflammtion doesn't allow minocin to penetrate cells. anyway last nightI took my first medrol and I got up with less pain and less stiffness. My hands are no puffy right now. wow I didn't know a low dose of steroid can make a big difference. I don't like to take steroid because of side effects. my Dr. also doesn't like it. I am going to take it only 3 days a week. I hope it helps me to put on some weight. what do you think? By the way you do lots of work. I couldn't do such amonth of work even when I was healthy. like you I always followed a healthy diet, did excersize. no smoking and drinking but I was not a happy person. I didn't realize the most important thing is my health. enjoy the weekend soheila ________________________________________________________________________________\ ____ Looking for last minute shopping deals? Guest guest
Hi Soheila; I never took Medrol so I do not have anything to say about it.However I did take prednisone and methotreaxate and today I have severe osteoporosis because of that.Total time on MTX was slightly over 3 years and 2 years for the pred.At the beginning they both helped but I did not know about AP and just did as my rheumatologist suggested.Pred. worked at only 2mg a day and today I thank the lord that I never took the big dosage some people do.I agree that you have to bring down the inflamation just to keep your sanity if nothing else. You may have to experiment on yourself to find the lowest effective dose and try not to stay on it too long. The problem is that when you stop the problem is likely to reoccur unless the AP has kicked in really well What worries me is that you were unhappy and that is so sad.I do believe that unhappyness can cause stress which will upset the immune system.I am sure there are people on this board that have used that med and may be more helpful than me and tell you how they delt with it. Guest guest
Hi Soheila, This is Dolores. I thankfully never took medrol either. So I have no idea what it does and how it behaves. I will google it and see what I can find. How did you hear of this drug? Who recommended it and what does it do to help the body? Dr. Mercola says sadness is a choice. Curl up the corners of your pretty face and give someone a gift of your smile. You start by giving small things that cost nothing but a little effort, The rewards are tremendous. Start smiling and the blues will go away. Think of a smile as a gift wrapped in pretty paper and a big (whatever is your favorite color is) Bow! Try it. If you feel like a fool, enjoy it and laugh at yourself. Laughter spreads and I am smiling wide typing this. Can't help it.~~~~~~~Love, Dodo --Don't worry--Be Happy! Every little thing -----is gonna be alright! Don't worry! lynneandsantos <lynneandsantos@...> wrote: Hi Soheila; I never took Medrol so I do not have anything to say about it.However I did take prednisone and methotreaxate and today I have severe osteoporosis because of that.Total time on MTX was slightly over 3 years and 2 years for the pred.At the beginning they both helped but I did not know about AP and just did as my rheumatologist suggested.Pred. worked at only 2mg a day and today I thank the lord that I never took the big dosage some people do.I agree that you have to bring down the inflamation just to keep your sanity if nothing else.
