Wow! What hospitality, Dolores and Mike. Thank you so much. Sounds like a

wonderful opportunity. I just checked flights...for me from Greenville

Spartanburg airport (GSP in SC) flights are just over $400 to San in March.

Not sure I can get the hubby on board with such short notice. Anybody else

interested? And we'd be willing to share the house for the week at $100 per

person. Can't beat that! Thanks, you two. I just love this group. Amy

wish we could join the party Dolores and group! and I will be doing a

big east coast trip soon from Michigan.....nephew's getting married in Long

Island and so we do it all with family who lives there. Hmmmm, it IS

tempting and how wonderful Dolores and Mike, to offer all of this to our group.

The best part is that you are sincere about it and really mean it!!

hugs to all of you,

Judy

What part of Long Island?  I had my kids at Bay shore Hospital and raised them

on Long Island many years ago when it was mostly farm country.  I bet I

wouldn't recognize it now.  Dolores

scattered over Long Island Dolores, but my sister and family are in the N.

Bellmore area, in laws in the Deer Pk area, othesr in Mineola, Northford,

Dix Pk, Massapequa, and Williston. It's real close to Beach so we

enjoy that when we're there. Pretty congested now on the South Shore...North

shore still more hilly and pretty. Yes, I'm sure it was country then as you

remember it.

Lived in Flushing after we were married and then began relocating due to

hubby's career and here we are in Farmington Hills, MI for the last 20

something yrs!

Hope some of you can get this " vacation event " going. It would be a blast.

My very first house when I was 21 was in Deer Park.  I know where Dix Hills is

and I have been to Farmington Hills back in the 80's when my first grandaughter

was born.  She must be a young lady by now.  My son and my grandaughter's mom

never married and we have lost touch with the family.....Yes, I have been

wanting to buy prperty just so I can make retreats for people like myself

recovering from major illnesses who could not possibly enjoy a normal

vacation.  I know I need to do things at a slower pace and with people who

understand what limitations are about.  It just would be so nice to have

camraderie with like people and pass along information, recipes. and learn from

each other.  I think it would be a g reat experience.  but in order to take

advantage of using the big house, yu would need several others to go in with you

as vacation houses ae expensive, and much cheaper when shared,  Hope we get to

see some of you soon and enjoy the

parties with relatives.   Dolores & Mike
