Guest guest
I have been taking HC/T3 for 3 months. 22.5MG HC, 1 Grain Erfa, and 10MG T3 - split doses. (This is Dr. dosing) Dr. wants me to keep taking 1 grain Armour - but a couple weeks ago - I started taking 1/2 grain Armour and added another 5MG Cytomel. Intending to drop the ...Armour completely. Accidently, yesterday I took 1 Grain Erfa and 5mg Cytomel. In effect - I got 5mg extra T3. I felt better (Yeah!) However, I need to do labs in 2 days. I'm wondering if taking the extra 5mg for a couple days will skew my labs. I want a solid baseline for the test. My dosage is very low and I think it is time to increase. Just want to make sure the Dr see's that too and agrees. Anyone's thoughts?

The doses are below the dose needed to clear RT3 and your own thyroid will still be part producing what you need to live, if it can, Is there a reason your Dr wants to keep you hypo? Increased T3 for a day a couple of days before labs will if anything reduce your T4 levels on the formal labs showing you a little more hypo but 5mcg of T3 is such a low dose that nothing will probably show That T3 will be out of your system 3 days after you took it, the knock on effect is on TSH and T4 Nick -- for more information on RT3 and Thyroid Resistance go to www.thyroid-rt3.com

We are trying to clear the rT3. My ratio was 7.95. I have no Thyroid, it was nuked so have started to have more hypo symptoms recently (probably the rT3 clearing?) It takes a lot more than this >I have been taking HC/T3 for 3 months. 22.5MG HC, 1 Grain Erfa, and 10MG T3 - split doses. To function without a thyroid. if you are going the Erfa route you will need between 3 and 5 grains a day. If you are going the T3 only route you will need 75 to 125 a day. After things have stabilised and assuming no resistance (which is not the case with your ratio) 25 of good T3 is roughly equivalent to 1 grain of natural. Without a thyroid you are likely to need to be at the higher end of those dosing brackets. As you can see you are likely to be VERY hypo on that dosage. I have felt so good after increasing. Sleeping longer, and less pain. My attitude improved also......
