I found it took a bit of time in the beginning but I sat down one morning and looked up the ingredients for several homemade recipes(like my salad dressing), then I wrote down all the calorie, carb, fat, and protein amounts for ingredients and totaled them up. Then you go to create new custom food fill in the amounts and let it know the serving size for those counts. For my dressing the totals were for two cups of dressing but once I have added it to my total for the day I can change cups to tablespoons and it does the math. I found this was the easiest way to deal with multi ingredient foods you use regularly. Once you have added an item you can get it again really easy from the "recently added food" list.

The more you use it the faster you get.

, I like fitday, but I tend to mix up my foods and fitday doesn't come out accurate for me. I probably should try it again - adding in each separate ingredient. Joanne
