Guest guest
Hi, My wife and I are taking our daughter to Philly for her first visit to the pediatric rheumatologist at St. 's. She's been seen twice by a rheumatologist up here -- once for her initial diagnosis, and one follow-up. I wrote a couple weeks back that she has exhibited incredibly weak abdominal/trunk muscles and her hands have been going starkly white during the cold...which I have learned is possibly Raynaud's Phenomenon, something we'll tell the rheumie tomorrow. Since then, her foot has bruised somewhat mysteriously. I say somewhat because although she plays soccer and uses her foot for obvious reasons, she doesn't remember banging it that hard. The bruising looked kind of patchy and spread out, too...not like she was whacked in one spot. Lastly, she passed out when her blood was taken on Saturday -- five vials. She never has passed out before, so today we got the results and it shows her red blood cell, hemaglobin, and HCT levels are all below the low-end of the range. I still have concern over the diagnosis and am just reaching out to see if there anyone might suggest some questions that would be good to ask that we may not be thinking of. Thanks and God bless you all. Lee
