Guest guest
I agree with the importance of exercise. Thank you for the book recommendation. I follow a regimen that was designed for me during 12 weeks of physical therapy and continue to follow it now in my fitness program. (7 yrs. later) I was too ill to start with " floor exercises " so I began in the pool (warm water) and did my workout there. I graduated to the workout equipment and continue to do that. Find what works and stay with it but not in excess to cause a flair up. Once I gradually became accustomed to the regimen, I've noticed my pain levels decrease, my depression and despair diminish, and my daily activities are easier to do. My rheumatologist even said what PT I have been doing has helped a great deal with my AS. It's not easy to stay with the program and there are times I don't want to make the effort, but in the long run I see the results and it makes me happier.
