Guest guest
Hi Vicki I was talking to my friend with sjogrens last week and she happened to mention that her eyes were terrible for years despite all the drops the eye doctors gave her, then she went to an Indian doctor who wasn't a specialist and he mentioned that some people are sensitive to the preservative in most eye drops. He prescribed Celluvisc (carmellose sodium) which doesn't contain preservatives. She gave me a few sachets to try and they were terrific! They didn't stop the redness but my eyes weren't nearly as painful as they had been, though still itchy occasionally (it's Spring here with pollens and grasses out everywhere). So I now have a prescription for myself and a good supply on hand. I'm using them before bed and when I wake up. I'm still on 200mg plaquenil and will stay on that until after Christmas when I'll see what happens if I stop the minocycline. Just curiosity really because I don't know whether it's worked for me at all. If there's a dramatic change I can go back on it. It would be nice not to have candida all the time despite using Diflucan and nystatin. Ros
