Joni,

Some have a problem with dizziness for a few days. I'm sure you are miserable

with it and I'm sorry you are dealing with it. You should try to move very

slowly and look up and down with your eyes and not your head for a few days.

Don't try to rush your healing process. Hopefully, you have someone who can

drive for you for at least a week because I don't think it's recommended before

that. The Vicodin probably added to the dizziness. Try to rest and this will

pass or at least it should. If this continues bothers you too much, call your

doctor and let him know.

I'm glad you had a very successful outcome and when you are hooked up and

hearing .. you will forget all about these dizzy days.

I just had my implant surgery about 3 1/2 weeks ago and I did have dizziness

from the surgery. I couldn't really drive for almost 2 weeks and it does get

better each day. The best thing you can do is to take it easy and get plenty

of rest. Try not to move around too much as that worked for me. This is a

time for you to be pampered and well rested!

I still have some minor episodes from time to time but it's more like an

" aura " in my head, and eventually your dizziness should go away. Just give

yourself some time.

Hi Kathy!  Yes, the dizziness does ease up a bit, but surprises you once in a

while when you least suspect it.  What I do when I feel it, is either sit down

or lie down immediately for fear I will fall down. It passes quickly, but

leaves me with a fuzzy disoriented sensation which also clears up after a bit.

Sometimes, I just lie down, or take a short nap.  Then I am fine again. I just

backed up on my Minocin after 4 years to  100mg  MWF schedule because

my ANA & RF showed normal finally.  I am on my second week of this and so

far no dizzy spells yet, but if they do occur, I am use to it and know how to

lower myself carefully.  It still surprises me when it happens. I don't mind

the dizziness as much as I mind the disoriented feeling afterwards.  I don't

know if others get this, but I certainly did.  It was one of the first effects

I noticed once I started the Minocin back in December 2005.

our best to you, Dolores & Mike

Hi all, can Mino make you dizzy? When I first started it (200mg) it made me

sick, but also " motion sickness " type dizzy. I went to 100mg (started abck at 50

and worked my way up) and have been on it for 2 and 1/2 yrs now. Arthitis is

doing good. But I have been having alot of dizzyness, that so far no one has

been able to find a cause. Then i thought, thats the way i felt when I started

it .. so could it be causing it this far into taking it? Im afraid to cut back,

that my pain will return... Kathy

I saw the Dr yesterday, He didnt think dizzyness was a side effect, but I told

him I was going to stop taking it for 2 days and see how i feel, then start

again and see how i feel. He did offer that if i need to cut down on the mino

he would get me LDN.. so that might actually be a good thing. also I have the

hyper-pigmentaion and I sure would like to see that lessened before summer comes

again. I also had a burning sensation on my tongue..I think was related to the

dizzyness. I drive for a living so I have to be careful, at least when im

sitting (driving) I dont get dizzy. also some headaches. (and ear aches) am

seeing a ENT for some of this, but maybe its the mino and i can cancel my

appointments.. Thanks, kathy

Kathy, I have not been on mino for several years, but I do remember being dizzy

on the minocin. It worked so well for me, that it was well worth it...I had some

ringing in my ears and was dizzy from time to time...never sitting down tho,

just when standing, etc..at one point, I lost my balance in the bathroom and

fell, hitting my eyebrow area on a towel rack...still have the lovely

indentation to prove that..

Never while sitting, just when getting up, etc...or when standing..Hope this

helps, Debb
