Ace Inhibitor & Beta Blockers

Got some questions:

If lisinopril will block T4 making T3 and it is an ace inhibitor,

should you not take ace inhibitors? On checking on drug info, I do

not ssee that it is a beta blocker....

Metoprolol is a beta blocker and you know it slows down thyroid and I

read where it is a beta-adrenergic receptor blocking agent. So we

don't use beta blockers either then correct?

Doc is ordering me something can't spell name so will give it to you

when I get it from pharmacy, and it is not an ace inhibitor nor beta

blocker and she said the info on it does not say anything about

allergies, like to sulfa drugs. But she says reading her info on all

of these none of them mention anything about causing thyroid

problems. Told her I am taking it from you because you went through

it and that lisinopril was used to block T4 to T3 for hyperthyroid

patients.

Anyone got any comments?????? Things are confusing. Oh and Val I

did use a store BP, it said low diastolic. But bought a new BP

machine and it shows my diastolic higher, in 70 & 80's......do you

still think I should not take any BP meds???? I'm going to try to

find info just on BP and see myself what they say about this if

anything....
