Guest guest
Hi Amy, Yes, lots happening.....and quickly! With my list of " to do's " , thankfully, it doesn't give me much time to think about it! Not sure if nursing facility has internet available, but sure at some time I'll be able to get online. Must say, I don't mind not having access. I felt more concerned about getting to the nursing facility: my Kangen water, grounding sheet, 20 bottles of vitamins, and having people bring me in good healthy food............then, I just said: hell with all that. I'm surrendering to " what is " and deal with it....and be grateful for what I receive. Amy, you said below about commenting on my car sickness " on how it can stay with you all day " Have you had this and what did you do? After this last trip back from hospital and a 60 minute car ride, all I could do was get in the house and get to bed (of course couldn't even close my eyes) and yes, even the next day I was still dizzy (reminded me of my old days of having hangovers). Now, with 3 more trips back to the hospital (including surgery day) I am much more concerned about this, than the surgery. I'm waiting to hear back from my doc here in town. Also, the next trip back to hospital (April 7th) is to see one of their docs for general physical to ok me for surgery. I certainly will tell him.........but really would just like it to go away! Big lesson for me to trust, surrender and know that THE LIGHT OF GOD NEVER FAILS! Sally rheumatic Go Sally! Sally, I am so impressed with your fortitude, courage, and commitment to regain your life. Guest guest
Sally, I wish you all the best with your hip replacement. The first day after my surgery, I had less pain than I did before the surgery! After diligent exercising and healing time, the replacement hip felt just like my own. I wish the same for you. Guest guest
Sally, When I had chemo, I took lots of ginger supplements as well as drank ginger tea. It helped a great deal. I got car sick all the time from an early age. My GP told my Mom to give me gravol about 20 minutes before a long car ride/trip. Within 10 minutes of taking the gravol, I barfed. Possible allergy to fillers in the gravol. Since ginger is the main ingredient in gravol, he told Mom to make me ginger tea from grated fresh ginger starting at 1/4 tsp of ginger. Pour boiling water over the ginger and let steep for 5 minutes. As you get used to the taste you can increase the amount to be steeped. A little honey can be added if you require a sweetener. One of the good things to come from all the chemicals infused into my body for lymphoma, I am no longer car sick. I can now read as we drive along. At least I attribute the change in my body to the chemo as it was after this that I found that I was no longer car sick. I hope the ginger will work for you if you decide to give it a try. Good luck with your surgery and may God Bless. carol_DM
