The guy who wrote about doxy was being treated for suspected Lyme, and it is not all that surprising he had that reaction. There is another Lyme expert who has said that 90% of her patients become seropositive for Lyme 9 months after the start of the antibiotics even though they were previously negative and she treated them anyway. The immune system finally begins to produce antibodies that are detectable again. Nine months after starting my Minocin, I had a similar reaction- call it a brain herx? I wonder if I had finally become seropositive when I began manifesting neurological symptoms. Thankfully it has all passed.
