Guest guest
posted some sourdough recipes earlier (post #965) that I like. After you have the dough you can divide it up into about 12 balls. Let them proof and then roll them out flat and thin to cook them. I do it on my electric grill so I can do about three at a time. They only take about 30 seconds on each side so just about the time you have a new one rolled out you can take the last one off, assembly line style. They make the best pita bread I've ever had. As far as the clay pot, I haven't done it yet but I assume you can use any size you want. Just adjust the amount of dough you put in it so that it fills the pot about half way. ----- Original Message ----- From: sanderson Sent: Tuesday, March 12, 2002 12:10 PM Subject: recipes wanted & clay pot question Hello, does anyone have a recipe they like for pita bread, sprouted grain tortillas or sprouted grain bread? I was also wondering what size clay pot you would use for a regular/large loaf of bread. It sounds interesting, but I'm having trouble imagining bread in a clay pot. Thanks for your help, Sharon __________________________________________________
