Guest guest
I have Grave's disease and I believe this is when my adrenals first began to be sluggish, but I am not sure. From June 2006 to July 2007, I had four eye surgeries for thyroid eye disease and am sure this didn't help the adrenals any either. Last year's and this year's labs are below. The most recent Cortisol levels really have me confused as to whether they are high or low. I am not sure if I need HC and/or PS. I had been on 20 mgs of HC for approx 2 months and had stopped it completely for two weeks prior to having he saliva testing. I definitely have some of the symptoms of adrenal fatigue, i.e. not sleeping well, up until 2 - 3:00 am, nausea, fatigue, unable to lose weight, & weight gain through midsection. As my labs show, the Ft3 is and has been high. I am planning on doing the temperature average, but have been trying to wait until I get over a sinus infection in case of this affecting temp readings. My doc keeps reducing my Armour, which I don't feel is the problem here. I had been on 3 grains of Armour and because of the Ft3, she reduced to 2.5 grains and then Ft3 came back still high so she reduced again to 2 grains. I did not go along with this last change and am still taking the 2.5, but I feel like I need more. The only thing she is will to try regarding the adrenals, is vitamin and herbal therapy.  I don't think the vitamin & herbal therapy is working by itself. Also, doc started me on Reacted Magnesium because I have started having symptoms of Fibromyalgia - do you know of anything else I can take that might help this condition? I have read where thyroid levels and adrenal issues can be related to this condition. My TPO and TSI antibodies test came back really improved from last year. Last year TPO was 257 and now is 88 and TSI was 625 and now is 268. I am so grateful that I am improving - now if I can just get adrenals up and running full power, I will be so happy. Any help and advise will be greatly appreciated. Vicki My TPO and TSI antibodies test came back really improved from last year. Guest guest
DHEA - 168.20 (200-400) Cortisol: 8:00 am – 4.7 (7.0 – 10.0) 12:00 pm - 6.8 (3.0-6.0) 6:00 pm - 2.2 (2.0-4.0) 11:00 pm - 3.5 (<1.5) Progesterone: 1.403 (0.2-0.5) Estradiol: 9.0 (1.0-2.0)menopaus Yes oyu need HC. The reason the noon level is high is a rebound effect form high ACTH caused by the way too low AM cortiosl. But then you run out again at 6PM and then it is swinging too high at night due ot thta, To correct this you need to get ENOUGH cortiosl in the AM which will stop the swinging effects. Your high estrogen confirms overall low coritosl. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://www.seewell4less.com/Valspage.htm Medical Alert Bracelets
Guest guest
What is " reacted Magnesium " and can you get it online? Your cortisol is way too low 2 times out of 4 (used to be 3 out of 4) and your DHEA super low too. You definitely do not want PS in my opinion but want to up your cortisol to get a decent rhythm. Cheri Cortisol levels very unstable - High or Low Also, doc started me on Reacted Magnesium because I have started having symptoms of Fibromyalgia - do you know of anything else I can take that might help this condition? I have read where thyroid levels and adrenal issues can be related to this condition. Vicki I am currently taking: Reacted Magnesium . Guest guest
Yes, you can by it online. I get it from my doctor's office and take 500 mgs at bedtime. It really has helped me.
