Guest guest
I searched thru the messages & found some info on hives but not what I need so I am asking in this post Over the holidays (for about 2 weeks) I neglected to take my Armour, KETO DHEA (sp?) & Licorice Root regularly. Last week I got back on track taking everything as I should have been all along Now I have these aweful red bumps (hives?) they itch like crazy I have had them for a week now. They are on my chest, back, neck and under my arms some on my thighs. Should I stop taking everything & start all over slowly to re-adjust my body slowly ?? I am taking Benadril for the itching, it helps a little... I am laid off now so ordering a saliva test or going to the doctor is not in my budget at this time..... Any advice appreciated Thank You !!!!!!!!! ida
Guest guest
Hi Ida...I thought I'd chime in hear cause I just went thru my first ever bout with hives. It was hell! I've never been thru anything so awful since cortisone injections nor benadryle injections would help me at all. What finally worked was atarax with zantac (stomach med that blocks H2 (histamine) production). My theory is that I went hyper on my cytomel....but don't have any info to back that up. Just a hunch. In your case, since you weren't taking your Armour, you probably went very hypo. Either way, hives are hell, and I sure do hope you find some releif! Guest guest
Everyone is different....mine lasted 2 weeks. The first week was the worse until I found that med. combo that worked for me. Some people posted to me that they can last as long as six weeks, and some even longer. Some people never get them again, and some people have then chronically. I'm seeing a naturist now who says I won't get them again, as long as I learn how to detox my body. I hope he's right! Naffy > > Yes hives are HELL ! If they were due to an allergen they will inevitably happen again the next time you get an overload of that allergen. sol
Guest guest
The allergist is assuming it is an allergy and the naturist is assuming it is a toxin. I'm rooting for the naturist!
