Guest guest Posted February 27, 2002 Report Share Posted February 27, 2002 Sonja, This is by no means an exhaustive list, however these are all reasonably good indicators of poor carb handling (and obviously other possible related problems too). -Eat when nervous -Excessive appetite -Hungry between meals -Irritable before meals -Lightheaded if meals delayed -Heart palpitates if meals missed or delayed -Afternoon headaches -Excessive negative response to overeating sweets -Awaken after few hours sleep - hard to get back to sleep -Crave candy/coffee in afternoon -Depression, Moody, Melancholy -Fatigue that is releived by eating DMM > " Dr. Marasco's observation > (which certainly squares with my own experience!) that for people with > impaired carb metabolism, unheated honey is for all intent and purpose just > as bad as other sugars.
