I've lost the post from the person who asked why myDr. said not to use A & D, but here's the answer. The nurse practitioner said if you are at all alergicto WOOL you shouldn't use anything with lanolin in it,and A & D has lanolin, which would irritate my patchesof lichen simplex chronicus and/or hyperplasia... bothof which may be umbrella terms for something else, butthat's all the information I have so far.__________________________________________________

HI Dusty, ;)

So sorry to hear you're allergic to Lanolin, can't say I'm allergic but no way can I wear wool sweaters either, itch like crazy. Anyway just found this small bit with the various products that contain it, no wonder so many of these bothered you. (I was surprised to find even steroids listed)

http://www.dermnetnz.org/dermatitis/wool-alcohols-allergy.html

Ummmm interesting about A & D...and it having lanolin (which I wasn't aware of either) and I definitely did not mean to go on like this.. but found it interesting as each site had a bit of different information as to the ingredients in A & D... Jeeesh.

PS Dusty, I just haven't had a chance to go over what you found in your old files.. and see Hollis did a great job. ;) If I get a chance I will but too am just buried in mail. *sigh* Will try tho but doubt I can add much.
