Guest guest
Not sure whether to raise. (See below.) Gut says should raise, maybe higher temps are from something else, high PG or low aldosterone come to mind. So I did bump from 75 to 87.5 today after I posted below, but want to make sure I'm doing the right thing. But how did I have ft3 of 249 on 75 mcg t3 on my last labs? I don't think the t3 is pooling with labs like these. Is it getting to the cells and just lowish becuase the t3 lowered my ft4 and I need to take MORE t3 to compensate?? THANKS, Kathleen > > Hello, > > I'm in a strange situation. I was having horrid headaches and terrible brain fog plus energy crashes mid day, which I think are hypo symptoms. I was only on 37.5 mcg t3, so I'm not surprised about having hypo symtpoms. > > So I bumped gradually up 75 mcg and my symptoms improved (although did not go away entirely by any means). I would raise again BUT my temps seem to be good. I'm in the luteal phase and my basals are rock solid 98.5 every single day and have been for over a week (even before > I raised to 75 mcg) and my daytime average is 98.8 the past 3 days and averaged 99 today BUT I have a HORRID headache again! > > My most recent labs were: > > Feb 25 -- 37.5 mcg t3 > ft3 295 > rt3 15 > ratio 19.6 > > March 15 -- 75 mcg t3 > > TSH .76 > ft4 .5 > ft3 249 (230 - 420) !!! > rt3 not done but shouldn't be higher than before at 15, which makes my ratio terrible. > > I couldn't believe my ft3 is so low with my temps being fairly decent. > > > THANK YOU, > Kathleen >
Guest guest
Yes you defineitly ned to raise wiht your levels that low. I would also get electolyte testing done as thta can cause higher than normal temps. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/
Guest guest
Thank you, Val. Test sodium and potassium or do you mean test aldosterone? Low sodium causes high temps? > > Yes you defineitly ned to raise wiht your levels that low. Guest guest
I raised and feel MUCH better already. One question if you have time: Why is my ft3 SO low on 75 mcg t3 (the amount I was on when I did the labs)? Is it because the half-life is teribly low as I'm so low on t3? Certainly it isn't pooling with labs like those. Thank you, Kathleen > > Yes you defineitly ned to raise wiht your levels that low.
