Guest guest
Val- my ferritin level was 74 this week. I am going to a new doc that wants me off the Cortef and the isocort... Couldn't the anxiety be related to the HPA-Axis dysfunction (Dr Lam)? IF my cortisol is low what will happen when I go off the Isocort? Right now he wants me to take klonopin when I have anxiety. > > 25mcg of T3 os nto enoughto make ANYONE hyper. Guest guest
No. He didn't want to do a full iron panel... He wants me off all cortisol (Isocort and Cortef) and have a CT scan done of my adrenals and a ultrasound of my thyroid this week. My saliva test in November showed: DHEA 10.1 (range 2-23) Morning 4.0 (range 3.7-9.5) Noon 2.6 (range 1.2-3.0) Evening 2.5 (range .6-1.9) Night 1.5 (range .3-1.0) My last morning cortisol blood work was: 13. I feel like I am going to lose my mind...The anxiety is so bad!!! I just stopped the cortef and weaning off the isocort... ---- The nurse practitioner wants me to do a saliva test before she will give me any more cortef... Yes, she knows it will not give a good idea but she wants something in writing.... > > ANd the 74 for ferritin is fine if oyu have NO inflammation. Most people > wiht low cortils have inflammation. Guest guest
Nick- I don't understand what you are referring to... I have only been taking Cortef since last monday evening...15mg a day. The RPh said I could just stop taking it which is what I did today... I am still taking Isocort but weaning off that.. > > >No. He didn't want to do a full iron panel... Guest guest
Thank you. I was wondering when that group would open. My temps have been the best they have been... right at 98.6. Now if I can just get rid of this anxiety! > > > > >Nick- I have been on Isocort over 100+ days... > >Know a good way to wean off?? > > Very slowly, and it may well be that you need it so will be in a mess > without it > > The adrenals group are open again tomorrow and may be able to give > better advice > > http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ > > Nick > > -- > > for more information on RT3 and Thyroid Resistance go to > > www.thyroid-rt3.com >
