Guest guest
Hi . I have a 5 yr old autistic son who just under went an endoscopy/colonscopy...and I have to tell you. The prep was worse than the procedure. My son only eats 6 GFCF things. To fast him....he was begging me with every word he knew at about 5pm the evening before the procedure. During the night he had bowel movements , clear vomit in his bed. This is due to all medication prep he had to take. I suggest someone stay in the bed with him that evening. When morning came he was very lethargic...still vomiting clear fluids..could bearly walk. He was so good in the hospital. He slept the whole time. Procedure was over before I knew it. Turns out not celiac, not colonitis. No explanation to his issue. Now it turns out we have to go thru an endoscopy all over again. They are now expecting Malabsorption Syndrom..which involves the pancreatic area.Good luck on his procedure. sonja in mass
