Dr R,

Would an oral antibiotic be more liable to cause a yeast infection, or to

upset the natural flora of the digestive system??? I know it would help the

IV problems, I remeber that IV antibiotics are hard on the 'ole veins.:)

Just wondering if it would help or hinder the recovery of the gastric

system? Thanks, Paige

Hey Just what I am thinking about...

Oral antibiotics are usually not as powerful and may upset the gut

but...

IV Antibiotics can be a common cause of phlebitis...

So...

I am thinking on it...

You are so good to us!!!! Only you would take time out of your day to think

uponst the varied flora of our respective systems.:) Maybe some acidopholus

to go with the antibiotics?? :) Lemme know what you decide!( Just out of

curiosity!!!) PS my vote, I would rather have phlebitus than the dreaded

yeasties!!! :)
