Poncho here, I think it is part of the total picture with any

gastrointestinal illness. Be it Chrons disease, IBS, or Panc.. It seems to me

that all gastrointestinal problems respond to good and complete hydration. It

is like a fundamental building block for the best treatment of any problem

involving the digestive tract.

It is one of those things that doesn't cost anything, it seems to help in

some if not all cases, it is considered good for general health with the ill

as well as the healthy, gastro illnesses seem to lead to poor hydration with

the associated diarrhea and vomiting and thus the rehydration is most

important, and absolutely the most important aspect is that I seem to feel

better and do better when I have and know I have plenty of plain old water in

me and my system.

So drink up folks and then have another of good old plain H2O

It is good for you

I have never been very good at drinking water. Even as a child I did

not drink very much water, and my urine was almost always

concentrated, dark yellow. I just did not feel the need until I was

very thirsty.

Not too long ago I tried increasing my water intake. For a time I was

very conscientious in the drinking. My urine was nearly always clear.

I sensed an improvement in the way I felt. Nothing radical, just an

awareness that I was better inside. This was before my gall bladder

backed up my pancreas and altered my life.

I have slipped a bit, but try to drink more than in my old days. I am

convinced that the water helps, and since it cannot hurt it is a good

practice.
