Guest guest
Hi: Have you tried a gluten free diet? There are some people who have benefited from cutting out the gluten especially if you think that you have celiac disease. My daughter has an auto-immune disease and vvs. She has Crohn's and every time we go to the doctor they remind her to let them know if she gets fissures. Fissures don't seem to be out of the ordinary for people with certain auto-immune diseases. Are you going to a GI doctor to be tested? Why do you think you have Celiac Disease? I have heard about Dr. Peacock's Vitamin D deficiency theory on other groups in the past. I would explore the gluten thing if it were me. Just my two cents. Guest guest
I get this same exact fissure and tear in the skin. I've been using the estrace every day in a addition to the Lidocaine for the vestibulitis. Also, I've been stretching every morning to try to stretch out the muscles of my pelvis floor....if you hear of any better treatment for this tearing, please let me know!! Good luck with the testing! > > Hi everyone, > > I'm new to this board but thought that maybe some of you could > relate to my experience or offering some thoughts/advice. Guest guest
Hi I'm in my early 20s too So I feel your pain! I live in NY (with my boyfriend of two years) and even made an appointment with Dr. Peacock for the 5th of July. I do not suffer with external lesions as you do, but I suffer from chronic burning and discharge without an infection. Anyway, last week I decided to try Physical Therapy( Not in love with the Therapist I saw...her name was Roseanne or something like that and she turned me off to the whole idea PT for vulvo vaginal disorders) and during my visit I mentioned my appointment with Dr.Peacock and she (Ros/roxanne) giggled and rolled her eyes at the mention of her name. " We see her former patients all the time. She diagnonses everyone with a Vitamin D dificency. " So as I was reading your post I found your diagnonsis questionable. Dr. Peacock is also, as I understand it, a dermatologist. One of my Drs also told me to be wary of specialists who do not accept insurance and/or only accept cash. Perhaps she can help you, who knows? But do know that there are other options out there. I instead am going to see another specialist by the name of Dr. Baker. I've also heard of another specialist Dr. Goldstein. I don't know much about him but he's located in the city and I believe he takes insurance. If you google Beyond Basics Physical Therapy and give them a call I am sure they can give you his info. As for Dr. Baker (referred to me by two of my Gynos), his offices are located in STonybrook Long Island and he only sees patients 1 day a week (Mondays), but he does accept insurance. Until I see him, I have given up on sex. Everytime I think I am better, I have sex and then am forced to endure 3 weeks of endless burning. It's all too traumatic for me and my poor vagina. > > Hi everyone, > > I'm new to this board but thought that maybe some of you could > relate to my experience or offering some thoughts/advice.
