HI all,

Thanks to all of you for the feedback on the Cocoanut oil & condoms. Makes sense. *grin*.... I appreciate that. :)

Hollis, I'm so happy you're seeing some improvement, that's wonderful news and fingers crossed for you that it only continues. :) It can be a slow process just as Dusty mentioned.

Even If using Estrace for HRT for meno symptoms they usually say it takes about a month to kick in to relieve those symptoms so it does make sense it would take some time to rebuild the tissue, if not more.

And as that Dr. Willems and I myself experienced doesn't mean that flare ups or set backs won't continue... (that's the frustration of it all) but in fact they did get further and further apart the longer I used the E.

With myself it was after the 4th month of only using the small amt. of Estrace, that I truly had a 95% turnaround and that's when I added the T cream to the E regimen...( a ratio of about 3 to 1, 3X's use of the E, to 1X' of the T.)

By the end of the next two months (total of a full 6) is when I was 99.99% better. Maybe the E alone will be enough for many, but for 'me' it was the addition of the T. that sure put me over the edge to wellness. I remember thinking at the time that I wish I'd have known of the T earlier and would have added it back then. So for what that's worth. ;)

Also I never had any irritation at all with the T... (of course that was compounded by Pete so it had a very mild base) and I used the reg. brand name Estrace which did irritate me in early usage. Today I'd probably have the Estradiol compounded as well.

I know that six months might sound like a long time, (and that was what Dr.Willems suggested as a possible time frame too) but then I was in such bad shape for 10 long yrs (the last 3 of those I HAD to remain celebate) so that it took 'me' that long. Hopefully someone else who isn't nearly that bad would heal a lot sooner. ;)

And as Dusty so elegantly put it , putting so much of so many various things on us ''would irritate an elephants hide''~ LOL...So I'd not be using a ton of other things no matter how desperate. (I was there too once upon a time) *sigh* Except possibly to use a mild steroid as mentioned for those really bad times, (that's also when you'd let up even on the E & T *at least I sure would* to give that skin a break from everything.)

I am just so happy for you, I remember all the severe pain you were in in times past and to see you doing so well now is really fantastic. ;)

Joyce: sounds like good news for you too with the new guy *grin* I am so happy for you too hon, Much continued success and hope the E helps even more, Big Time! and good luck with the Slippery Stuff lube hon. (be sure to just try a small dab initially till you see how 'you' react though.

OH, just a Heads UP on that!

I hope it was the one in the Blue labeled bottle that you ordered.... I heard from another woman who ordered the one with the Red label.... and she said it was far too liquidy, too runny, dried up too fast and irritated her.

The Blue one is the one I use and is the 'Slippery Stuff Gel'.... no odor, no taste and it wasn't thick or gooey either and water soluable. No one would know you even used it if you didn't tell, it's that much like us (in my opinion *grin*). I use maybe a nickle size amt. and insert it a bit inside as well as spread it on the outside, a little goes a long way. ;)

Manufacturer's Information: Slippery Stuff:

Take care all,

Big hugs and much continued success~~~
