Guest guest
So here are the first labs after the temperature rise which happened 13 days ago. Temps went up to 36.8/36.9 (98.2/98.4) from my usual post-ovulation temps of 36.6/36.7 (97.8/98.0). My temps dropped 3 days ago (after I got the period) and are now 36.4/36.5 (97.5/97.7), which is only slightly higher than my usual pre-ovulation temps 36.3/36.4 (97.3/97.5). I do not feel particularly well, very, very tired, blurry vision and light headed, but let's see: Red blood cell (RBC) count: 4.31 (4.5-5.5) Hemoglobin: 13.0 g/dl (13-16) Hematocrit: 38.7 (38-52) Mean corpuscular volume (MCV): 90.00 (75-99) Mean corpuscular hemoglobin (MCH): 30.1 (27-34) Mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration (MCHC): 33.5 (30-37) Red cell distribution width (RDW): 10.3 (13.3-17) Red blood cell count is a bit low, it always is with me and I though after several months supplementing iron it would be better, but maybe it is a lower because I just had the period (although I do not bleed too much). Fasting glucose: 93 mg/dl (65-110) Sodium: 18.0 mEq/L (135-145) Potasium 3.96 mEq/L (3.5-5) Chloride 100.0 mEq/L (95-105) Magnesium 1.9 mg/dl (1.6-2.6) Ferritin: 121.7 ng/ml (12-200) THYROID: TSH: less than 0.005 uU/ml (0.5-5) Free T4: 0.21 ng/dl (0.8-2.2) Total T3: 5.45 ng/ml (0.8-1.8) Free T3 : 10.37 pg/ml (1.8-4.2)

Guest guest
Nick, many thanks for your answer. Yes, I did stop the iron 5 days before the test. I don't feel hyper, except for the pulse which is high (100 or more). I actually feel rather hypo (tired, dry eyes). I took T3 the night before the blood draw, but not in the morning. However my last dose was not 12 hours before the the blood draw, rather only 7-8 hours before, because I went to bed quite late. I don't understand what has happened, because temps were high for ten days or so, but now are back to my usual. Regarding cortisol, I don't know, I truly don't know. I find it so hard to judge... I have gone down a little since my temps went high because I was feeling better, more relaxed, but now I am feeling worse again. I was so happy temps went high and I am so worried now. > > >Fasting glucose: 93 mg/dl (65-110) > > Don't know, speak to Val! > > >Sodium: 138.0 mEq/L (135-145) > >Potasium 3.96 mEq/L (3.5-5) > > They are both low > > > >Chloride 100.0 mEq/L (95-105) > >Magnesium 1.9 mg/dl (1.6-2.6) > > > >Ferritin: 121.7 ng/ml (12-200) > > Looks good, had you stopped supplementing 5 days before (if you were > supplementing) > > > > > >THYROID: > >TSH: less than 0.005 uU/ml (0.5-5) > >Free T4: 0.21 ng/dl (0.8-2.2) > >Total T3: 5.45 ng/ml (0.8-1.8) > >Free T3 : 10.37 pg/ml (1.8-4.2) > > You ought to bee hyper from these labs, if you are not (and assuming > you hadn't taken T3 for at least 12 hours before the blood draw) then > you have some resistance left or are lacking enough cortisol to get it > into the cells,. > > If pulse/temperature are Ok then you can carry on at that dose, if > they are high you need to back off > > Nick > > > -- > > for more information on RT3 and Thyroid Resistance go to > > www.thyroid-rt3.com >
Guest guest
I don't think I had an infection, I didn't feel ill. Also the temperature rise happened few days before the 12 week on T3. It is a bit confusing now because the temperatute drop has coincided with the period (which is normal), but I hoped the temperature would remain relatively high... it hasn't though. I am so sacared this means failure with the T3 protocol... Regarding high pulse, I haven't tried the salt. I will. > Could you have had an infection that raised your temperature for a few > days??? > > Nick > >
