Hello Cooky

Thank you for your suggestions. Actually I have

stopped taking metronidazole since yesterday. I have

pain and have to work full time so I am not going to

stop medrol. anyway I am not taking it on friday,

saturday and sunday.

I am anemic. I don't take any meat at all since 10

months ago after I read a book writen by a woman who

suffered from a sever SD and completely went to

remision after 6 years on antibiotic and a restricted

macrobitic diet. She reversed all disfiguration of SD.

Actually I can not restrically follow the diet but I

try. I don't take any sugar , dairy products including

eggs.

Based on suggestion of some members o this group I was

tested for celiac disease (stool test). It showed I

have gluten sensitivity. I don't know if the test id

reliable or not. I used to take bread a lot.

So I am taking brown rice, some vegetables (mostly

chinese vagi's, buckwheat, beans , soy milk and some

fruits. It is very boring and limited diet. I don't

have much time to prepare different foods. I am taking

two capsuls of probiotic but it didn't help me with

yeat infection.I am taking 100 mg of minocin twice a

day.

I don't know if you know that Medrol is prednisone or cortisone. You cannot

just stop taking it when you feel like it. If you stop suddenly you could

have a cortisone crisis. Your body could actually shut down depending on the

amount you take. Besides that you will have a LOT more pain. If you want to

go off it you may have a problem and need to do it VERY GRADUALLY. You need

to read the info on rheumatic.org about doing it. I would stay on it for

now. How much do you take?

Just taking acidophilis does not necessarily mean you won't have yeast

infections. You are taking a great deal of antibiotics, prednisone and

Metronidzole which is another antibiotic and these are all fungus or yeast

producing drugs. A small amount of acidophilis is not going to do much with

all that to fight. At some point when your gut is healthier you probably

should take a course of diflucan.

I do hope you follow some of the other suggestions. I am making them from

experience, the people on this site and I am a nurse so they are not

something I just thought up. You should also google leaky gut.

As for your diet..you need iron. But get tested first. They can give it to

you IV so it gets absorbed and does not get eaten up by the stomach enzymes.

Go to rheumatic/histories and read all the stories about SD and how they got

their lives back. It will make you feel like you have something to look

forward to.

How positive is your doctor about prescribing AP? If he is good with it

maybe ask for Clindamycin IV's. That is one of the things Doc Brown gave to

his SD patients. If you do get the IV's please use diflucan for the yeast

and all the other things suggested for leaky gut. I did the IV's for RA.

Please cut the Minocin down to 100mgm a day M and W for at least 2 weeks. If

your pain and other problems get better then stay there for a while and add

more Minocin gradually to reach 100mgm 2 times a day MWF. I can send you

info on why you should not do the Minocin daily but the biggest reason is

that it is the best way to kill of the mycos :-)))) and that is what we want

to do.

Sohelia, I have great empathy for you because I have been there. I have more

sympathy for you because your disease is worse than mine. You can beat this.

You can get your life back!!!

Write to me anytime. I will be here for you and I know all the others will

be here for you too.

Soft hug.

I am taking Medrol two mg a day only 4 days a week.

Friday, saturday and sunday I don't take it. I know it

is cortisone.

My Dr is AP doctor. but he is not fimilar with IV

therapy. Actually he prescribed Clindomycine orally

along with minocin. I took it for 3 months , didn't

see any improvement. so I stopped it. My Dr says pain

in my feet can be related to vit D deficincy. He asked

me to take vit D but I didn't because of what I read

in marshal protocol that vit D is feeding macroplasma.

My stomack is little better since yesterday after I

stopped taking Metronidazole and ketokenazole.

any way thank you for your help and kind words.

Hi Soheila;

I did not find that the clindamycin I.V s worked any better

than oral clindamycin but have to admit it was really hard on the gut.It

seemed to only start working somewhere between 9-12 months. You have to

be very, very careful when taking more than one antibiotic.Just about all

of us with these diseases have leaky gut just due to the disease

itself.Did you real all the info I sent to you about it?It is due to

this that you have mal absorbtion and iron defeciency and taking

supplements won't help much as they are not being absorbed. For a quick

review google " Dr. Leo Gallant and leaky gut " You say your vit D is

low....which vit D the D25 can be very low and the D 1,25 can be

high, you have to get them into sinc.Even if it tastes horrible, get some

aloe gell and take it a few times a day.It is very soothing. One thing I

found most interesting was when I had to have my yearly colonoscopy.I

had to go without eating for 24 hours and believe it or not I felt just

great after the first few hours of not eating and decided to keep at it

a couple of days longer but only took juices then. This process was like

resetting my clock.I felt great for a few weeks and think I will do it

again. My doctor says that we absolutely must have meat protein, beef can

be a problem so stick to the others. She also says that MSM is important

to be able to rebuild yourself as it is needed in cell regeneration.Hope

you feel better soon.

Sorry I have not been aroun lately,we have an other orchid show this

weekend in Toronto and I have ben soooooo busy.By the time I sit down I

just fall asleep and hubby has to wake me up to go to bed. XXXXX Lynne
