I havent heard from anyone regarding the anti fungal Q I had recently

posted about.

I would like to get some advice. Should I after 1 year of abx continue for

another 6 months to see if it helps? Should I increase dosage to 2X a day veruss

just once a day or every other day? recenlty I have been doing it once a day.

Some take totally different antibioitcs but I dont know if thats what I should

be doing. I take doxy daily and zith every other day.

Lastly, I have my liver enzymes tested but what about other tests? Other organs

are affected by medicines, other organs also have to absorb it, so shouldn't I

be having other tests?

Any help appreciated. Thanks!

Hi Vicki,

I am taking Nizoral, generic name Ketoconazole, 200 mg. It seems to help. I had a

fungus on my feet, sinus cavities and hands. I didn't know it but my AP doctor

told me that what it was. I am also taking a good probiotic.

My feet have almost healed, my nasal passage is another problem because of the

moisture and my hands are also slow to get well, but I started in January so

after about three years having that problem I think I am doing good

Take care, stay well.

Eva

FYI, Nutribiotic also makes a nasal spray with GSE (grapefruit seed extract).

i am

desperate to try something despite not showing obvious signs of fungal problem.

Just my experience, but I really don't like guessing because it stresses me out

something

awful. It makes me feel like I'm stumbling around in the dark.

It's possible to test for fungal infections in the gut (mouth and vagina), test

for food

intolerances, sex hormone imbalances, thyroid deficiencies, adrenal fatigue,

other

infections, etc.

Then, you can re-test to see if the measures you've taken actually worked.

For example, when I did my first GI stool test awhile back, I had a bad fungal

infection and

not nearly enough good bacteria. After a few months of anti-fungals, diet

change, and

probiotics, it was so encouraging to see my follow-up test results and the

improvements.

I felt like what I was doing was working, and that I wasn't blindly throwing

money & mental

energy down the drain trying this and trying that.

Of course, money and finding a helpful MD or other practitioner is always a

challenge.

I hope this helps,

I will try taking antibiotics 2X a day but thats hard since you cant take

supplements at the same time. So is it okay if I take 200mg doxy once a day

instead of 100mg twice a day? That would be easier for me. I thought I would

increase before i quit completely to give the protocol one last try because

appears that some take this amount. I also take Zithromax 2X a day.

I wish I knew what tests will show if I have yeast or not too.

I took the GI-2 test from Diagnos-Techs. It checked for many things, not only

yeast. The

test can be taken at home. It's a stool sample, which is Fed Ex'd overnight to

the lab then.

You can find a practitioner who might order the test for you at the

Diagnos-Techs web site,

at the " Providers " link to the left.

http://www.diagnostechs.com/

There are other labs too, of course.
