Guest guest
Val or Nick I just received a call from my sister's doctor, mine also. She wanted to know how we get the ratio and that it was not working with her numbers. These are my sisters numbers. Ft3 3.7, Rt3 15. These are the measurements of pg, ng. WHen I convert and divide I get 240. Can you please tell us what we are doing wrong and HOW to do it correctly? Venizia

Guest guest
Oh, sorry Val. Yes, the ranges are Rt3 11-32ng/dL - her number is 15. The ft3 is 3.7 range is 2.5 - 3.9. I was mortified that our doctor CALLED me to get this and I couldn't figure it out, at least now I know it is one of the "tricky" ones.VeniziaSubject: Re: a ratio needed for my sister/bumpTo: RT3_T3 Date: Saturday, March 20, 2010, 4:23 PM This si one of thoe tricky ones.. can you gie me the lab ranges for the RT3? -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthet hyroidmadness. com/ http://health. groups.yahoo. com/group/ NaturalThyroidHo rmonesADRENALS/ http://health. groups.yahoo. com/group/ RT3_T3/ http://groups. yahoo.com/ group/HypoPets/

Guest guest
Thanks Val. Can you tell me why we do not add the zero and move the decimal point on this one? Also, would you be willing to give a couple of example findings of ratio's so I can give them to our doctor. She is willing to work with us but she does not understand what is being done to find the ratio's. Having some example's would be very helpful in trying to explain it to her.VeniziaSubject: Re: a ratio needed for my sister/bumpTo: RT3_T3 Date: Saturday, March 20, 2010, 4:37 PM OK her ratio is 370/15 = 24.6 which is fine. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthet hyroidmadness. com/ http://health. groups.yahoo. com/group/ NaturalThyroidHo rmonesADRENALS/ http://health. groups.yahoo. com/group/ RT3_T3/ http://groups. yahoo.com/ group/HypoPets/
Guest guest
I can't help with how to get the ratio. Basically I look at the numbers in their ranges and move ort not move the decimal to wher eit makes sense. If RT3 is below middle of it's range and FT3 is above midle of it's range the ratio SHOULD be good. Most labs any more do FT3 as a 4.2 top of range and Many use RT3 labs with ranges in the 100's such as 200-400(example only) for these the FT3 needs the decomal moved to make the number in the thousands., 4.2 becomes 4200/RT3 in the 100's. Some labs stil use the older method of FT3 inthe hundreds.. top of range then migh tbe 420 and RT3 in the hundrds you would make the FT3 become 4200/RT3 in the hundreds. By looking at the ranges I can tell how to move or not move the decimals. Fo r peole on T3 only or with very healthy conversions. the numbers SHOULD be very high when you divide them. I suspect my own las are F3 6.2 Rt3 100 (range 200-400) as this RT3 RANGE is inthe hundreds you do 6200/100=62 This makes senbse as I have very low levls of RT3 and Very high levels of FT3. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/
Guest guest
Thank you Val. This is VERY helpful. I am going to e-mail this to our doctor if I have your permission? I am very grateful to have found her because she is so open to info I bring in to her. I just hope she wasn't put off because I could not help her yesterday. My sister said she was fine with it all and just asked me to e-mail her when I could find out.VeniziaSubject: Re: a ratio needed for my sister/bumpTo: RT3_T3 Date: Sunday, March 21, 2010, 3:20 AM I can't help with how to get the ratio.
