Guest guest
I agree about the intracellular potassium. Mine must be higher than my serum potassium shows since any amount makes me feel ill and my serum potassium was 3.8. The HC and Florinef have definitely brought it down though. Now that I am on 45mg of HC and 1/2 tab of florinef I am finding I am having more muscle pain/weakness that was helped today by some potassium. I guess this is important for all of us, stuff about Potassium. , if the tissue level of potassium is high, and "invisible" in serum potassium, and serum potassium is normal mid range - You do realize that it can be dangerous right? I want to discuss this with you! Cause potassium is the one electrolyte we can't trust by serum levels 98% of potassium is intracellular, and if there is something wrong with the kidneys, the potassium pump, anything, tissue levels can reach dangerous levels and leave serum levels looking good. I found this info on an official page for laboratory work here in Norway. It means.. We must do RBC Potassium at least once every year, maybe even more often. Do you know what we can consume to bring down Potassium? I don't - And it would be nice to know! Sea salt? Just plain water?I for one, will do my first RBC Potassium tomorrow and I'll get an answer to this test within 2 weeks I think. Can't wait! Cause I have long been suspicious that my heart symptoms are from intracellular Potassium levels! Thanks for your time!
Guest guest
Tissue levels of potassium are NOT what we need to watch except in LOW potasisum situations. That si because serum potassium the OVERFLOW is the serum. Whne tissue levels get too high it overflowds into serum and raises it. Whne tissue levels get too lwo it si SUPPOSED to be topped up fom the serum but this does nto always happen as the body tries to keep serum, lefveols stable. So if oyu Have high tissue levels of potasisum, your kidneys will flush it out of tissues and into serukm where excess is excreted. Thsi si bogus propaganda abotu potasisum bei9ng SO dangerous. Truith is it controls high BP and GAWD forbid the drug companies nor medical care, nor insurance comapnies do nto want people to knwo this. If your serum levels are too high thne oy need ot look ot low aldosterone or kidney failure. -- http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://nthadrenalsweb.org/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://www.thyroid-rt3.com/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/
Guest guest
Thank you for a very good and filling reply. I think I finally got it. If it's really the overflow in serum in high tissue situations, then it shouldn't be as bad as some people say.Just trying to figure out why I have arrhythmias. Potassium could explain a few things, but so far, my serum levels have been pretty good.Thought, thinking of how fast serum levels can change, it's not always easy to catch the value of the moment now is it. If you're towards the high end of the range and eat 2-3 bananas, some tomatoes, nuts, a piece of salmon.. You can very easily get above the range and, all bodies are different - Maybe one body is very sensitive to high levels, and heart symptoms start occurring earlier in one person than in the other. Thanks again though. Guest guest
A link with some useful info about potassium from a discussion between people:http://yarchive.net/med/potassium.htmlWell, I am not a healthy person, so maybe I have a unbalanced potassium/sodium system. Which is proven already in both a hair mineral analysis and in a whole blood analysis.Tissue levels of potassium are NOT what we need to watch except in LOW potasisum situations.
