Guest guest
I am just wondering what is the highest amount people end up on prior to T3 maintenance?
Guest guest
While waiting for Rt3 to clear - Nick's website has the answer to this "waiting time" question. "Most people end up needing a dose of 75 to 125mcg of T3 AFTER their resistance has cleared. If they have severe resistance and increase the dose to clear hypo symptoms in this "waiting time" then they could end up twice that dose and not be hyper. If you go above 75mcg a day in this interim period be very careful to check pulse every morning, especially after 10 weeks, as you may suddenly find resistance clearing and end up hyper with a high temperature and fast pulse."fromhttp://www.thyroid-rt3.com/dosing.htmDon't miss the rest of Nick's website, it is essential readinghttp://www.thyroid-rt3.com/>> I am just wondering what is the highest amount people end up on prior to T3 maintenance?>
Guest guest
So, basically I would need a prescription of up to like 200mg daily? Lynn
Guest guest
Most people never need over 150mcg a day. Thta is a SUPER high dose, adn I fell high enough ot clear any RT3. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/
Guest guest
>So, basically I would need a prescription of up to like 200mg daily? Depends how bad your resistance is and how hypo you are. " Most " people don't need to go over 125 though they may have residual hypo symptoms at that dose. I don't recommend others doing what I did but I was up at about 225 to 250 a day and clear of hypo symptoms when I had my breakthrough, went down to 25 and then crept up to 125 over a few days which lasted a month or 2, I then ended up at 150 for most of the winter. I am sure that I have other resistance apart from what RT3 caused, this other resistance caused me to need to take too much Natural in order to get enough T3 to not be hypo and that in turn added RT3 making me even more resistant. Now I have cleared out the RT3 I still need a lot, but not as much as when RT3 was involved. Guest guest
Thanks for this. So, most people hit 125 max then? This is also what my reading suggests. I just need to know what to ask for from the doctors I write to; as don't wanna waste flights/time/money/energy on docs who will only agree to prescribe micro doses of T3. How does one know they are having a breakthrough? Lynn > > >So, basically I would need a prescription of up to like 200mg daily? > > Depends how bad your resistance is and how hypo you are. Guest guest
>Thanks for this. So, most people hit 125 max then? This is also what my reading suggests. It's a very variable thing, in VERY rough terms 25mcg of T3 is equivalent to 1 grain of natural in terms of the direct T3 and the " eventually converted T3 " from the T4. The STTM " typical dose " of Natural is 3 to 5 grains and that agrees with the " 75 to 125 " of T3 guideline based on that conversion. > >I just need to know what to ask for from the doctors I write to; as don't wanna waste flights/time/money/energy on docs who will only agree to prescribe micro doses of T3. If you are visiting Britain get some T3 shipped to a friends place and pick it up when you are there! The Mexican source will ship decent quantities and you can pick up a year's supply like that! >How does one know they are having a breakthrough? By suddenly either feeling less hypo or feeling hyper depending on the dose you were on. For me it happened overnight, it is very sudden. You may get low adrenal type symptoms as it happens as it uses up cortisol For me it was waking up with a pulse over 100 and a temperature of 37.5 Nick -- for more information on RT3 and Thyroid Resistance go to www.thyroid-rt3.com
Guest guest
what amount of T3 do you feel would compinsate for the lost T3 when lowering dose of NT by 1 full grain..while remaining on 2.25 more grains?? i know 1 grain NT has about 9 mcg of T3 but what about the lost amount of T4 that might convert over to T3 how much of that is lost..i know we have to assume it does not all go to RT3 to answer this.. Eventually the rest of a 25mcg tablet for the rest of the grain. It's pretty close (give or take conversion efficiency) to 1 grain = 25mcg eventually. http://thyroid-rt3.com/swapping.htm talks about the transition from T3 to natural, the reverse is similar Nick -- for more information on RT3 and Thyroid Resistance go to www.thyroid-rt3.com
Guest guest
I cleared Rt3 at 125mcg around week 10. At 75mcg of t3 my Rt3 was non-existant according to labs but I stayed at 125mcg for a few weeks and then went hyper. My temps went from 96's to 99's and my resting pulse was 176--ouch. I am still trying to figure out what I really need for maintenance, 75-80mcg seems like the spot. > > >Thanks for this. So, most people hit 125 max then?
