Guest guest
Thanks . Bob and Carol made the Mag suggestion. Been on Slo-Mag for about 6 months for irregular heart rythms. The heart is regular now, but I did cut back because of the loose stools. Can't win! I'll try the soaks too and see if that helps. Thanks for the suggestion. The best to you and yours, Dolores & Mike From: mmc2315 <m.chelap@...> Subject: rheumatic Re: Dear Dolores (magnesium and leg cramps) rheumatic Date: Sunday, July 27, 2008, 10:40 AM More magnesium was going to be my suggestion too. Too much, too soon, will give you loose stools. And, it has to be taken away from the antibiotics. Another way to get more Mg in your body is to soak in epsom salts. You can sit with your feet in a warm bath of epsom salts or put them in your tub water. Very relaxing. HTH,

Guest guest
A compounding pharmacy can make magnesium in cream form? This, I am interested in. Do I need a prescription? If so, I can get one from my doc. How much does it cost? How much is in the jar? How much do I rub on when I am sreaming in pain from the cramping. It only happens at night or when I'm walking on a cold floor without shoes. Tell me more! The magnesium gets absorbed thru the feet and legs without going through the system, thereby avoiding the accompanying diarrhea. Yes, this would be for me. So far. this is the only symptom that I have or rather it has me. If I can fix this with magnesium, I would be a happy camper. Thank you. Send me the details of what I can do to get it please, The best to you, Dolores Dolores, A compoundin pharmacist can make mag for you in cream form. That's how I take mine. Guest guest
Hi Cooky. Wow, this is good news for me. I've had this cramping that stops and starts again for over a year. It usually stops by putting on some warm booties and wrapping a heating pad around it. I take magnesium for irregular heart rythms and now my rythm is great. But, I don't want to increase the mag orally as I have a tendency towards diarrhea... So, this is great news to me. Someone once told me that it may also be dehydration. I will have to increase my fluid intake. I will also try the epsom salt soaks on the fett and legs. Will keep you all informed as to how this will work. Glad for all the advise. The best to all of you, Dolores Dolores, A compoundin pharmacist can make mag for you in cream form. That's how I take mine. Guest guest
Thank you, Will call her in the a.m. and tell her that you recommended her. What state is that number in? I moved from New York to Corpus Christi, TX in April and still don't feel like I know my way around. That happens when you've been in one place for 12 years and then move. Thanks again~~~Dolores From: C Stonkey <cookee1@...> Subject: RE: rheumatic Re: Dear Dolores (magnesium and leg cramps) rheumatic Date: Sunday, July 27, 2008, 8:21 PM I did not need a script but maybe because I know her. Guest guest
OK - I am not going to write any more because everyone has already said what I was going to say. LOL. I need to read all the email before I write! Anyway, I would add that loose stools are greater when the magnesium is not getting absorbed. Certain forms will push everything through. I have heard others who like the mag cream because it won't cause a loose stool problem - so I can't see any problem with the cream form. However, I stick with my tried & true dry mag citrate.
