Guest guest
if one's cortisol is low, isn't cortef the first line of treatment? on that note, i'm on 12.5 mg of cortef and have been for a couple weeks, (i worked up from 7.5 mg), but i have to say i see no benefit so far. it really worries me. here are the results of my 24 hour cortisol saliva test in order from am to pm... They were measured in NG/ML... .61, .44, .65, .15 How low are these? The scales say it should be 1.0-8.0 for the am, and .1-1.0 for the pm. Am I to assume that very low cortisol is worse than very high? Because perhaps that means your cortisol was high for a long time and now your body is finally having trouble producing it?
