Guest guest
Thanks, Ann. You're right that regular T3 is stronger, and that SR responds more slowly to adjustments. The problem is that with SR, I get weak, and with regular I get jittery. So this morning I thought I'd try a dose of SR first thing and if later I got weak, I'd use a dose of regular, since the SR has to be taken hours apart. That's what I've done, as the weakness has happened every time I've tried SR by itself--within a couple of hours, I needed more. I guess I'll just go back to regular and see what happens. But I must say that both symptoms--the jitters and the weakness--are very uncomfortable. Its a toss-up which one is worse, as both are fairly incapacitating. I did drop the amount of regular, as you said, but that didn't help--with only 5 mcg spaced 3 hours apart, I got jittery by the fourth dose. That's only 2/3 of my SR dose. Very frustrating. Peggy Re: help!--T3 problems While I have never taken SR T3, I have read many times on these boards that SR T3 is weaker, or less effective, than T3, and that since it is SR, it responds more slowly to adjustments...When I read that you became jittery when changing to Reg T3, I wondered if you actually gave yourself an "increase" of T3, even though the numbers look the same...I would pick either SR or Reg, and try to get your dosing settled. Perhaps you are bouncing around your levels by switching between the two. (I would pick the Reg T3, because it's easier to adjust the dosages.) And I would drop the amount to start in case the T3 is stronger than the SR T3.
