I am one who was able to stop the Minocin after I had been stable for at least six months, but I am very careful to maintain a healthy diet and lifestyle and detox the body several times a year to try to avoid a return of the disease. As Dr. Coker-Vann points out, there is always a remnant of those organisms in the body that can come back to 'bite' you if you don't take proper care of yourself and in times of significant stress. Guest guest
Kathy and Group, I was on the AP from 2001 through 2005. I eliminated Minocin in 2005, but then had a major reversal. I only went been back on the AP two months ago, taking 100 mg of minocycline every evening. I am again doing much better. In another two months I plan to drop my dosage to 100 mg every MWF and see what happens. My reason for going with minocycline was cost and the positive feedback documented in my web page http://www.tmgp.com/minocin.htm. I asked my pharmacist for minocycline, and he agreed to special order it. Sincerely, Harald At 06:40 AM 12/1/2009, Kathy wrote: > >I have been on 100 mg once a day for 2 yrs now.. and Im scared to >try and wean off it!
