Guest guest
Please I need advice about what to do next. I believed rT3 cleared 13 days ago (few days before week 12 on T3 only), because temps went high and stayed high for several days. Now basal temperatures have droped to my usual, but pulse is high (now 120) and doesn't seem to go down with salt. I haven't been able to check daily average temps consistently the last few days (because I haven't been able to get much privacy at work lately) but as far as I can see they are fluctuating. I don't feel particularly hyper, just very tired, depresed and anxious. I am taking 75 T3 and 30 HC Help please, what could have gone wrong? what can I do now?: Red blood cell (RBC) count: 4.31 (4.5-5.5) Hemoglobin: 13.0 g/dl (13-16) Hematocrit: 38.7 (38-52) Red blood cell count is a bit low, it always is with me and I though after several months supplementing iron it would be better, but maybe it is a lower because I just had the period (although I do not bleed too much). Sodium: 138.0 mEq/L (135-145) Potasium 3.96 mEq/L (3.5-5) Ferritin: 121.7 ng/ml (12-200) THYROID: TSH: less than 0.005 uU/ml (0.5-5) Free T4: 0.21 ng/dl (0.8-2.2) Total T3: 5.45 ng/ml (0.8-1.8) Free T3 : 10.37 pg/ml (1.8-4.2)
Guest guest
Have you decreased your T3? When your RT3 does clear, you can get hyper and you need to decrease. Drop back to 50 to see if that helps. You should be able to see a difference within 12 to 24 hours, I would think. Shirley > > Please I need advice about what to do next. Guest guest
Thanks Shirley, I reduced a bit yesterday, to 62.5, and pulse is as high or higher than before. But what is really confusing is that apart from high pulse I don't really feel hyper, and temps are not high anymore. Can temps drop if T3 is too high? > > Have you decreased your T3? Guest guest
TSH: less than 0.005 uU/ml (0.5-5) Free T4: 0.21 ng/dl (0.8-2.2) Total T3: 5.45 ng/ml (0.8-1.8) Free T3 : 10.37 pg/ml (1.8-4.2) These look liek hyper labs to me. Hyper can be just as fatiguing as hypo. WIht anxiety to make it more unpleasant. I woulr reduce T3 ot 50mcg for a few days and then if you feel a cahnge to hypo you can gradually raise it up wher you feel good. Once the Rt3 has cleared it si MUCH easier ot raise to proper levels as you cna feel them, where as when RT3 is stil in the picuter yo can go very hyper and not realize it is what is causing your fatigue. -- http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://nthadrenalsweb.org/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://www.thyroid-rt3.com/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/

Guest guest
Thanks a lot, it seems there is general agreement about this results indicating hyper. I will reduce T3 to 50. > > TSH: less than 0.005 uU/ml (0.5-5) > Free T4: 0.21 ng/dl (0.8-2.2) > Total T3: 5.45 ng/ml (0.8-1.8) > Free T3 : 10.37 pg/ml (1.8-4.2) > > These look liek hyper labs to me. Guest guest
O.K., thanks, I have read in other mails about an internet source for potassium, could someone send it to me privately? Also, how does one supplement sodium? salted water? and how to determine the dose? > > Sodium: 138.0 mEq/L (135-145) > Potassium 3.96 mEq/L (3.5-5 > > These are BOTH low. Guest guest
Sodium supplementing: Val has recommended 1/2 teaspoon sea salt dissolved in a glass of water, twice a day. I believe she uses Gray Celtic Sea Salt. That is a starting dose. Finding the ideal dose takes a little trial and error. Here's Vals post on that subject: http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/message/23957 Here's Val's post, starts on another subject but ends with salt info: http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/message/23918 Here's a link to the salt. Some health food stores carry it, or you can order it over the internet. http://www.celticseasalt.com/Celtic_Sea_Salt_Brand_br_Ligh-C8.aspx > > > > Sodium: 138.0 mEq/L (135-145) > > Potassium 3.96 mEq/L (3.5-5 > > > > These are BOTH low.
