Sorbitol/hyperactivity?

I have some friends (no, really!) who have a 3 year old boy on the

diet. He has recently become hyperactive, and his parents have not

made changes to his diet or meds/supplements lately. They do use

mostly Kirkman supplements in the chewable form, most containing

sorbitol. They believe they heard something about sorbitol causing

hyperactivity, but can't remember exactly what was said. We use mostly

Kirkman supplements on our 3 year old boy, but primarily use the

powder/capsules in the hypoallergenic form (no sorbitol) so I could

not say that this has happended to use.

Does anyone know more about this possible connection? They know that

it is very possibly something else, but are wondering if this has

happended to others.

Please email me directly, if you don't mind. I will foward it on to

them. They are waiting for their membership to be activated (parental

consent form) so they can't access the list yet.

Thank you.....Patsy

I have found that my older son seems to get hyper on every vitamin I've

ever given to him. I've been using Kirkman's SNT w/P5P in powder form,

Colostrum Gold, TMG w/folic acid and B12. They ALL make him hyper. The

only thing I've given to him that doesn't make him hyper is Kidzyme,

which is a probiotic and enzyme aid combination. I've used yummi bears,

rhino vites, and some other commercially available ones and ALL have made

him hyper. My next move is to order everything in hypoallergenic form.

If that doesn't work, I don't know what I'll do.

My younger son, however, responds very well to the TMG.

Good luck.
