Guest guest
http://www.rxlist.com/cytomel-drug.htm# The above contains most of what is known about adverse reacitns to Cytomel or other forms of T3. Pay particular attention to the dosing. 75-100mcg is what is NORMLA and NOT experimental and NO WHERE does it list adverse effects on sexual funciton. Ya know I have heard every reason they can think up abotu how T4 is the BEST hormoen for us hypos, but I have yet to see it hapen. I am TIRED of refuting their bullcrap. There are over 1000 p4eople on this group do you see us all dying? I am pushing 3 years on T3 onyl an I am fine, sexual function included. My heart hasn;t stopped nor has my brain form lack of T4 as thye would have us believe. Harry how much proof do you need? Sexual dysfunction that goes wiht hypo thyroidism is usually from POOR ADRENAL funciton as adrenals regulate the sex hormones. -- http://nthadrenalsweb.org/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://faqhelp.webs.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://www.thyroid-rt3.com/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/ http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/

Guest guest
Thanks Val....The book I read was called " The Thyroid Paradox " by Dr. K. Rone...he has a section on T3 therapy...and cautions people against it. Funny...he did indicate that the brain, in particular, needs T4 hormone and could be damaged without it...My temps are very stable at a 98.3 average...so I am hoping my adrenals are ok....not sure how scientific Rind's graph is. I will continue to raise from 80 mcgs in an attempt to raise that average....I'll be calling you again soon! > > http://www.rxlist.com/cytomel-drug.htm# > > The above contains most of what is known about adverse reacitns to > Cytomel or other forms of T3. Guest guest
If you are male, see this: www.allthingsmale.com (TRT A recipe for success) This doctor knows his male hormones; most men in middle age have more estrogen than women of same--get your E2 checked along with DHT, Free and Total testosterone, Prolactin, LH,FSH and see what is up with them, all hormones affected by thyroid/adrenal imbalances..El > > All: > > RT3 has cleared but I have not noticed much improvement...I am now taking 80 mcgs of Cytomel in 6 divided doses...digestive and eye symptoms have improved but I have noticed pronounced sexual dysfunction. I read that adequate T4 levels are needed to ensure proper sexual function and mine are seriously depressed as a consequence of T3 supplementation. My average temps are fairly stable but won't budge over 98.3. Broda advised that some people's temps would not rise not matter how much thyroid he gave them. We here on this board are really experimenting with our health...I recently read a book that subjected T3 only supplementation to strong criticism. The author stated that there is likely a good reason for us to be making T3 from T4 hormone even if its unknown at present and we could be subjecting ourselves to longterm harm with T3 only therapy. Thoughts appreciated! >

Guest guest
did they give you any proof that the brain would be damaged without T4. I think a lot was damaged on me having 20yrs of T4 only. Now that is when I felt like my brain was damaged...I could barely function.VeniziaSubject: Re: Can T3 cause Sexual dysfunction? To: RT3_T3 Date: Sunday, April 4, 2010, 8:07 PM Hasn't Dr Lowe been on T3 for over 20 years? Guest guest
I just remembered something else that used to happen to me that doesn't anymore. I could be in a store or out somewhere and I would get very antsy, like I just could not handle being with people around me.
