Well, I just wanted to say that I'm thrilled to see such diversity of

opinion on this list. When I joined a few months ago I was worried that it

would be cultish and that whatever was written by Sally or WAP would not be

subject to critique. LOL How wrong I was! Thank goodness. I think the

cultish following of various diets is the reason I've never paid attention

to the various diet authors and their writings. Either that, or I just

didn't care or was lazy. Probably, I've just been lazy and uninformed in

regards to diet most of my life.

Anyway, I was pleasantly surprised to see critical thinking at a level I

never expected in this NT/WAP community (not that I had low expectations,

just that I thought it might be as lacking in independent thought as other

nutrition paradigms). I was already impressed with the WAP/NT approach to

nutrition, but knowing that there are many in the community who are seeking

*truth* (whatever it may be) and not willing to accept questionable claims

carte blanche, is very heartening. I've also been very impressed with those

who routinely respond in a non judgemental and non-defensive manner, despite

some posts that could easily be interpreted as less friendly than they could

be.

I do agree with those who state that what's written on an email list should

certainly not be held to the same standards as a publication, including web

publications. But I also agree with those who think web and print

publications should be rigorously footnoted and documented.

Thanks to the list owner, moderators, and participants who make this list a

very interesting and educational forum! I can barely keep up with the volume

of posts, but I really appreciate all that I've learned in the past few

months. And lastly, I admire the passion so many seem to have when it comes

to nutrition, health, and *helping others* to learn about the issues. Just

know that you_are_appreciated!
