Tapering off minocycline and staying symptom free?

I just had bloodwork done recently, and my SED rate is 9! My rheumatoid factor

has always been negative, but my SED rate was in the 70s earlier this year.

The minocycline is definitely working. A couple months ago, I was waking up in

the morning with some upper arm stiffness, and now that has even stopped. My

doctor wants to start tapering me off in the next few months if I continue to be

stable.

Has anyone successfully ended minocycline and remained symtom free? I just

assumed I would take the drug indefinitely.
