Guest guest
My 8 yr old son, Cameron seems to be easing in to another round of a flare-up. He begins to push away from the table.....NOT normal behavior for this growing kiddo! Now, since this morning, he has had 2 bowel movements - both of which floated. I read something about this previously on here and was wondering.....is this a " stair step " of symptoms? Should we be getting ready to go thru another attack? Is there anything that can be done in advance to make it less severe, if you see symptoms leading up to an attack? Just wondering and concerned, Donna Fort Worth, TX
Guest guest
Donna, It might be. Best thing is to keep him down to fluids as much as possible. When going into a flare up, the less by mouth, the better. Anything in the stomach make the pain worse. Give Cameron my love and prayers it's not a flare up. He's such a brave one to deal with this so young. Kimber
Guest guest
<< Is there anything that can be done in advance to make it less severe, if you see symptoms leading up to an attack? >> My symptoms are usually lack of appetite, and then a dull pain in my abdomen. I just kind of " know " if it's my pancreatitis, and I go on liquids. Usually a few days of clear liquids, and then easing back into solids keeps me from major flare-ups. Hope your son can avoid one! ~Shanon
