Guest guest
I started off with low testosterone and after a few months of t3 my test. dropped to undetectable levels. So it might be the t3 that is doing this? hm... > > I saw on the sttm site in the mens section that T3 only binds free testosterone. Guest guest
Yes, we tested my testosterone and it was quite low. Oh, and I am female. I have tried everything to help. I tried creams, gels, orals and have not had any success in the way that I feel. So we then tested my SHBG because I actually have over the top testosterone lab levels but I do not feel any benefits of the hormone. I get testosterone pellet implantation. My SHBG levels were elevated a little over top range. I'm pretty sure that a regimen of T3 only causes the levels of SHBG to go higher which actually will limit the free testosterone that is available because it binds to the SHBG. I think this is correct. Val would know for sure and I hope that I'm speaking correct. Anyway, to my knowledge there is some truth to the T3 only causing an elevated SHBG which in turn will inhibit your free testosterone. I am experimenting with some supplements that are supposed to help lower this SHBG and possibly allow the free testosterone to be more available to my body. But, even with all of this going on I do not think I could ever go back to any additional T4 now that I have been on T3 only. I just have to find other ways to get past this elevated SHBG. Guest guest
, My SHBG went up a bit past the range when I was using testo gel and DHEA, so I don't know if it went higher from estrogen (which also went too high) or from the Testo, but by using enough testo gel I am able to get a free testo of 4. So my total T looks high since so much is bound up, but my free Testo is good. What supplments are you using to get SHBG down, may I ask? I had also wondered about how to free up more Testo. The practitioner who gives me the testo was wondering also, but didn't know how to get SHBG down. Thanks!
