Guest guest
Our RAST test came back, we tested 13 items and almost everything came back borderline or allergic. Definetly casein, whey and cow's milk (was no great shock but I feel horrible giving him milk for so long but now we're cf so it really is no biggie), corn ( & ^%^*$%^*$), wheat (no biggie since we're gf anyhow), soy & $^ & *%$ & *%. Rice, barley, peanut, cashew, cod and shellfish came back borderline, and we're going to test again for potatoes, fruits and chocolate next time to see if there's anything else. WHAT THE HECK DO I FEED THIS POOR KID? Any suggestions on other tests to run? Now I MUST be on a rotation diet right and use all corn-free and soy- free mixes right? Arugh! This MAY explain why his casein peptides were very high in the lab results after being cf for almost 2 weeks after sending the sample in. Thanks for any input! Guest guest
, Can I ask how you make these butters? TIA! Toma Re: Now What do I Do? Food Allergy Test Came Back : I know the feeling. tested at least mildly positive to every single : food they tested for! We only removed 3's and above, which were bananas, : eggs, chicken, turkey, pork, corn, shrimp, and all shellfish. We have not : tested for soy, potatoes, or rice yet! The corn was the hardest to remove, : and I'm still not sure we have it 100%. It seems that everything that is : gluten and casein free has corn or soy, or both. I buy fresh veggies from : the farmer's market and fry a lot stuff in safflower, olive, or sunflower : oil. Hebrews National hot dogs, about twice a week. I make almond butter and : pecan butter in my food processor, homemade pancakes for bread. I try to : rotate as much as possible, but the more our options are cut the less we are : able to rotate. I know it seems so overwhelming at first but you will get : the hang of it, and there is hope..... he will probably recover from some of : these allergies when his gut has had some time to heal. Good luck. : :
