>How much T3 would a 100 mcg T4 dose equal? I was on 100 mcg T4 and 40 mcg T3 2+

years ago when I felt fine. Just wanna know how much T3 I need now, total, to

feel like I did back then!

very roughly half the T4 turns into T3 so 100 T4 and 40 T3 is very

roughly equivalent to 90 of T3 which is pretty well in that " 75 to

125 " T3 band that Val has found most people within.

Interesting! So now that I'm on 60 mcg T3, I am 2/3 on the way to my full dose, if I don't have any extra cell resistance (rt3/mercury/calcium etc.) - I look forward to upping my dose successfully! Thanks for the info, nick!It should be noted that I felt my best actually while on approx 125 mcg T4 daily. That would equal to... About 60 mcg T3 which I am on now! :P But it's something else being on T4, so we can't compare that to taking 60 mcg T3 now. Will some of the T3 or effect of it be lost in the whole AF-picture?>How much T3 would a 100 mcg T4 dose equal? That's well under a " full replacement dose " and hence your own thyroid

will have been making a contribution to that as well.

My thyroid gland was always making something. FT4 was at 12 in 1997 before any thyroid meds were started, so I guess I was within the "healthy" range. The question is... Was T4 high enough? I think not. I think it should've been higher. FT3 was never tested in that endo dept at the hospital in 1997, so... Who knows? They only did FT4 and TSH. TSH was like 1.15 at the time back in 1997. Maybe I just needed D3 supplements at the time to correct my lowish thyroid gland? Who knows...Now I'm on 60 mcg T3 and gonna increase it soon. But - I have this constant tickling feeling in the heart again, and I just _KNOW_ it's T3-meds doing this to me. But why didn't I feel tickling in 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007? ONLY in the start of 2008? If it were the adrenals going lowish on me, well, then I should be fine now on 35 mg HC right? Or, maybe I have

cortisol resistance in my cells somehow, so that I need to take much more HC to be ok? OR in worst case - HIGH HC makes me get heart issues while increasing T3. Adrenal Fatigue starts with high cortisol then gets low. What if I was high in cortisol when my heart went nuts on me in Jan 2008? Then I am doing the wrong thing now by increasing HC and T3.Could it be low Ferritin? Well... My Ferritin readings back from all these years show that I had a Ferritin of like 80-90 or more, so I am not totally sure low Ferritin was the culprit either.I was reading about different tachycardias and fibrillations today. I am 100% positive I didn't get a-fib. My heart was not beating unevenly/irregularly. It was not beating at all. But shaking. If I have let's say Hidden WPW-syndrome (google it!), this attack can get triggered by T3-meds. I read about it somewhere. So, I think it's crucial that I get the T3 into my cells, and not

too much of it into the cells. How could too high FT3 in the blood affect the heart though? And how does that work? Does anybody know?I was born with faulty wiring on my heart, so... I am extremely worried (anyone would be) that this thing can happen to me again while increasing T3! It could very well be that I have Hidden WPW.http://www.medicalgeek.com/disease-syndromes-procedures/19107-wolff-parkinson-white-wpw-syndrome-abnormal-heart.htmlI think this issue is important to raise in here cause others can have this problem too. And T3 medication is a real risk if this is the case. Thanks!

Hello , regarding too much vs. not enough HC - have you had your Cortisol

Binding Globulin (CBG) tested? I have read that a high CBG " binds " some of the

HC we take into an inactive form, meaning that my own high CBG means I need to

take more HC than most folks.

There may be more info on this at Val's Adrenal Group

http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/

I am trying to judge proper HC dosing by temperature. I understand that if my

temp drops after I take my T3, I need more HC. But my temp drops all the

time...it is not always clear why (96.6 at the moment). My own HC management is

a work in progress, that's for sure.

You have a lot to deal with there. I wish you improving health.
