Guest guest
Meggie- We stay at the Wilderness cabins - they have full kitchens complete with stove, microwave, refrig, dishwasher etc. This really helped us alot. If you call in advance any of the restaurants can accomodate gfcf. We had GREAT luck and a wonderful experience at the Liberty Tree Tavern in the Magic Kingdom. Chef Denis Callinan treated our son like a king and made him a wonderful gfcf feast of turkey, mashed potatoes, rice rolls and much more. Call and ask to talk to him personally - he'll set you up. The number is 1-. Hope this helps. Kim W
Guest guest
In place of the Mickey bars, they have GFCF strawberry popsicles which are good. Also, every single restaurant in DW CAN AND WILL do GFCF if you give them a few days notice. We have no problem doing GFCF at DW. Guest guest
Oh my gosh! I can't believe this. They know how to cook gfcf? That is fantastic! Which restaurants did this for you and did you need to give them specific instructions/recipies or did they have some choices that you picked from. I would like to know any details you can provide. This is SO exciting to hear! Thanks, Meggie > good. Also, every single restaurant in DW CAN AND WILL do GFCF if you give > them a few days notice. Guest guest
I could not agree more. We dined at the Liberty Tree Tavern for Thanksgiving, and that chef is fantastic! Our one big let down, the Mcs french fry cart is still there but they said it has been closed for 3 months!! Guest guest
Meggie- All of the chefs we spoke to knew exactly what gfcf was and what ingredients to avoid. We had breakfast at the Wilderness Lodge with the Pooh characters and the chef (although not as great as at Liberty Tree Tavern) made some wonderful pancakes with rice and potato flour and some wonderful breads with tapioca flour and other substitutes. They all seem to be very well informed and you can discuss the menu ahead of time to be sure it is exactly what you need. Kim

Guest guest
i am so amazed at how wonderful disney sounds. we are looking for a vacation in march and completely ruled out disney due to food and crowds. actually had thought disney probably would not be in the picture for years! thanks for giving back a dream. we'll check it out. Guest guest
Dont worry about crowds. You can obtain a special assistance pass. We did this last week. We got on almost every ride either through the wheelchair entrance or through the fast pass line without needing a fast pass. Everyone was very nice about it. is not a patient waiter!! Big surprise. It was so quick, we rode everything, somethings twice, and had lunch all before noon. Its kind of a shame that the Mcs French Fry cart has been closed. I am sending them a letter to try and find out if its permanent-has not been open in 3 months. Guest guest
One of my friends took her autistic son to Disney and w/ a note she was able to go to the front of each ride-- since standing in line can be difficult for those w/ behavioral problems etc.-- This may make some of us more confident to attempt Disneyland. Guest guest
-We did this when we went to Disney World two winters ago. Some of the lines such as " It's a Small World " moved very fast so we didn't use it on them but if the lines were moving very slowly we would use it. We had a very enjoyable day. In some ways I felt a little bad about using it as looks normal and we are trying to teach her that sometimes she has to wait but we avoided a melt down having to wait. It made it so much more " doable " .
