Guest guest
I don't know anything about the iron test, but as far as RT3 goes I do know that the level of RT3 in your blood will drop pretty quickly once you are on T3 medicine, but that doesn't mean that the RT3 has cleared the cells. I think if you look through some of the old posts you may find some info about this. I think that the mods use temps, pulse, and symptoms to figure out when the T3 clears because the RT3 blood tests don't help once you are taking T3 only meds. --Steph > > Reverse T3 results 75 reference interval 90-350 > Ferritin 199 reference 10-290 > iron binding capacity 227 reference 250-450 > uibc 113 ref. 150-375 > > > Im not sure if I did the test right concerning iron because i think i took iron one day several days before test. > > Could someone help interpret? Guest guest
Actually her other iron tests are low (and under the reference range), and with her ferritin being that high it would indicate inflammation causing the ferritin to be this high, from I remember Val saying. I would stay off the iron for 5 days and retest it. By the time you get them back, then hopefully Val will be back to help interpret them. Guest guest
If you have a ferritin of 199. Your iron binding capacity should be low. Which hers is. The below range just means she has to much iron in her body. Same thing with the uibc its low because she has to much iron. So when her ferritin starts to come down they will both rise.
