Thanks, Val. This had me confused. Since I'd switched from SR T3 to Cytomel, I was expecting hyper symptoms because Cytomel is stronger. But exhaustion isn't a hyper symptom. So I wondered if it meant I didn't have enough cortisol. I took another 5 mg of HC, but still feel flat exhausted. In the past hour, my blood pressure has gone up to 165/78--it's usually more like 135/55. But my pulse is still around 60 and my temp is normal. I'll go ahead and take another 5 mcg T3 and see if I feel better.

Do you suspect any adrenal crash in this case, with such intense exhaustion?

Probably means you are ready to increase the T3.

I was planning to increase very slowly, adding one 5 mcg tablet every 3-5 days. If this exhaustion is from a bit more thyroid suppression, and as you say I'm on a tiny dose, do you advise I increase my dose? I'm now on 30 mcg a day, and I just took an extra 5 mcg to see if that would help, so the total for today so far is 35 mcg.

I'm also trying to set up an appointment for iron IV's, since ferritin is 25 and that number isn't helping this process at all.

No just a bit moer thyroid supression from the T3 and you are on a tiny dose.

Thanks, Val. Another symptom has just appeared in the past fifteen minutes--I'm sweating like crazy. I'm always cold, even with normal temps, but this sweating thing happens from time to time. I think you recently said to someone that sweating was a sign of cortisol dropping too low to handle T3?

So far no anxiety, just extreme exhaustion and sweating.

Sweatign can be from several things. HIGH cortils causes me to sweat

liek a piggy. Low cortils causes adrenaline release which causes

sweating. It is hard to distinguish between the two.
