Guest guest
I have a Champion juicer and the directions to it say that I could make coconut cream/milk/butter with it. The directions say that after puncturing the coconut and draining the liquid, I should put it into a 400 degree oven for a few minutes until the shell cracks (or use a hammer)... remove the hard shell and peel off the thin brown shell with a potato peeler. Cut into sections to fit the feeder throat. (Have it set up for homogenization, as for nut butter) Add water during homogenization for coconut milk, add less water for coconut cream. After homogenizing it, juice it. Coconut oil will rise to the top. What do y'all this about this? Does it sound good? These are little metal masticating kind of teeth working on the coconut here. Sure would be cheaper. I have tried in the past to get the hard outer shell removed using a hammer and it was very difficult. I wonder if the oven method is easier.
