Guest guest
Hi Nick, I sent this a few hours ago, but have received no response. I have an appointment with my doctor tomorrow and want to be prepared. I just received my new labs. After a month on SR T3 at 10 mcg twice a day, plus iron for low ferritin, plus HC, here are my new results, with the reference range in parentheses: T3, free serum 2.7 (2.0-3.5) pg/mL RT3 173 (90-350) pg/mL T4, free 0.97 (.89-1.76) ng/dL ferritin, serum 25.7 (11.1-264.0) ng/mL If I'm calculating this correctly, my ratio is 15.6 (2700 FT3 divided by 173 RT3). A month ago, my RT3 was 434 with a ratio of 4.8. My ferritin has gone from 15 to 25.7. Going strictly by the numbers, this looks like significant improvement in RT3. Why do I not feel any better at all? Also, I have been having stomach problems ever since starting the SR T3. I thought it was the iron, but have stopped that a week ago and still have stomach problems. So now I think maybe it's the methyl cellulose in the compounded SR T3, and am considering asking my doctor for regular T3, which I know you recommend. Can you comment on the lack of improvement in the way I feel, and make any recommendations I can discuss in my appointment tomorrow? Thanks so much.
